It seems that BEAST‘Junhyung has gotten himself into quite the predicament, as he recently tweeted about getting his laptop stolen.
On September 22nd, Junhyung wrote on his Twitter, “Everyone, when traveling overseas, don’t leave your laptop in a baggage room…  I came back and checked my carrier only to find that my laptop was stolen, haha..  I lost everything I’ve been working on, things worth more than my laptop… Hit with something big as soon as I returned to Korea.  I guess things like this can happen to me, too.  Lost all my strength, can’t do anything else…”
As a message to the thief, he wrote, “I don’t know who stole my laptop, but I hope that you take that and be full with it for the rest of your life ^___^.”
The sarcastic tweet adds a bite to his words, expressing Junhyung’s upset feelings over the incident.  Here’s to hoping that he gets his laptop returned!

Who are the best performing idol dance dance groups ranked by professionals?

TOP IDOL DANCE GROUPS
According to a recent report, there is estimated to be a total of 100 teams of boy and girl idol groups  in the Korean mainstream music scene by the end of 2011. However, these groups are usually judged on the basis of popularity and their fans rather than by professionals. With that said, how would professionals rank the groups? 27 choreographers and dancers were asked to pick the groups with the best performances.

Idol groups usually use their performances to visually deliver their music. The performance that goes along with the song is the weapon of idol groups to captivate their fans. So who were the top groups chosen? Let’s take a look.

<TOP MALE GROUPS>

The group that received first place for performance was Big Bang. Big Bang obtained 8 votes out of the 27. Dancer Jin Jung Woon stated, “Most idol groups comeback with predictable dances, music, and outfits, but there are a few who people anticipate the most and give them their full attention. One of those groups is Big Bang.”

B2ST was able to achieve 7 votes, securing second place right behind Big Bang. The judges stated,“The choreography is original and the members’ ability to express themselves is overall very good and stable”. This shows the growth B2ST has under gone since their debut in October 2009.

2PM and INFINITE, a group that is showing an upward trend at an impressively fast pace, received 4 votes each and were awarded 3rd place with a tie. Dancer Shin Mi Yeon stated, “2PM has great balance of acrobatics and dance.” Dancer Bae Sae Jin stated, “INFINITE possesses a dance talent that cannot be beat by anyone. Even while performing simple choreography, each of the 7 members showcase their own distinct style.”

Out of the girl groups, 2NE1 obtained first place by a big margin with 14 of the votes. The judges stated, “Their ability to seize the atmosphere on stage is incredible and they have their own unique color, and express themselves well.” Jin Jung Woon stated, “I like that 2NE1 doesn’t give off a machine-like feel. They give off the vibe that they enjoy singing and dancing on stage.”
Girls Generation(SNSD), miss A, and After School all received 3 votes each and tied for 2nd place. The leader of Real Eyes dance team praised, “After School has a variety of colors.”

5,000 fans attend B2ST’s first ever ‘Promise Event’ in Japan

On September 16th and 17th, idol group B2ST held their ‘Promise Event’ with 5,000 fans in Tokyo and Osaka to commemorate the release of their 1st official Japanese album, ‘So Beast’.
‘So Beast’ reached #2 on the Oricon daily chart immediately after its release, and a lottery was held for invitations to the event for those who purchased the album.

When B2ST made their appearance at the Tokyo Shibuya AX Hall on the 16th, fans screamed non-stop with excitement, promising a good start to the event.

During the members’ introduction segment, expressions of concern for Yoon Doojoon’s knee injury came up, as many thought that he should be resting at home. But Doojoon put them at ease with a gentle smile, saying, “I’m excited for this event because I can see our fans up-close like friends”.
During the ‘Promise Event’, fans were given a chance to greet the members face-to-face by entering individual booths that housed a mysterious member. The idea of having some alone time with a mysterious member was an innovative idea that further heightened the air of happiness and anticipation in the hall.
In the original plan, the members were supposed to put a band, engraved with ‘So Beast’ and the members’ names, around fans’ wrists. However the members decided to change up the event to include a pinky promise with each fan as if to say, ‘Let’s meet again‘. Fans were overcome with emotion at this gesture, and couldn’t hold back their tears.

Mika (22) from Nagoya stated, “I was shaking while I was waiting. As soon as I entered the booth, Doojoon smiled as he brought over the band. At that moment, tears poured out. I was so worried after hearing he was ill, but I was so touched at seeing him greet us with a bright smile and watching the members take care of each other.”
B2ST has become the first non-Japanese boy group in Japan to achieve a ‘TOP 3′ record three consecutive times, right after their debut.

The caricature depicts Yoseob as a soccer player, kicking his cleats high up in the air as he directs the ball towards the net in the background. Focusing on his face, the artist particularly emphasized the idol’s big smile and round, chubby cheeks.
Fans commented, “Looks like you’re having a blast in Spain”, “The caricature is cute, but the real life version is a lot cuter”, and “I think this will leave a good memory”.

On September 21st, B2ST‘s Hyunseung and Doojoon shared their thoughts on visiting Spain for the very first time.
